My name is Patty McCoy and I was born and raised in Bakersfield. I graduated from Foothill High School. After graduation I started my family and got a job in bookkeeping. I stayed in the bookkeeping field for many years and then realized that it was not what I really wanted to do. I had always loved animals, so I decided to go back to school to begin a career in the Veterinary field. Shortly after finishing school I moved to the Bay Area because they had openings in the field. I spent almost 20 years there working with all sorts of animals, including reptiles. I really enjoyed my time there, but a few years ago I realized I wanted to be closer to family and so I moved back to Bakersfield.

In my free time I like doing things with my grandkids. We enjoy camping, family cookouts, and just spending time together. I am proud of the young adults they are becoming.
